ACTIVATE YOUR ARTISTRY believes in nurturing well-rounded dance artists by using a multi-faceted approach in each workshop. Each convention weekend features three levels of classes taught by industry pros, panels with our teachers for career-minded artists and a formal concert performance incorporating our ACTIVATE YOUR ARTISTRY dancers and local professional dance companies.
One of the pillars of ACTIVATE YOUR ARTISTRY is "provide value to the dance community". We hold this pillar in the highest regard by keeping our registration fees as some of the lowest in the industry. Scholarships, Mentor opportunities via our convention assistant program and Group Discounts are just some of the ways we strive to be of service to all of the dancers who attend and support

ACTIVATE YOUR ARTISTRY was created 5 years ago as a bi-annual dance workshop. The purpose of the workshop was to provide a safe, supportive environment to explore the art of dance. The response from these dance workshops was so positive, it inspired the ambition to make ACTIVATE YOUR ARTISTRY a full weekend dance convention to enable dancers to fully immerse in the AYA experience.
The pillars that support ACTIVATE YOUR ARTISTRY are : Elevation of technique, Excellence in the pursuit of Artistry and Encouragement to build confidence. Our hope is that we inspire the next wave of passionate artists but even more than that, we hope that we embolden each attendee to be their personal best. We hold our motto of "Building Up the Individual" to the highest priority.
The AYA Faculty is a carefully selected group of industry professionals who not only have experience in the professional performance arena but also have an extensive background as teachers and choreographers in their respective genres. We welcome our dancers to be vocal and vulnerable in every class. Our faculty is available throughout the weekend to answer your questions and provide feedback.
In response to the ever changing COVID-19 situation, we are hard at work to make sure our events this season are safe and comfortable for all of our attendees.
We will be following all required government mandates in place for each state on our tour. In addition to that, we will have hand sanitizer stations, hepa air filters in each ballroom, will be routinely disinfecting common areas, have assigned check in times to limit crowding in common areas and distance temperature checks for each attendee prior to entering the convention. Anyone displaying a 100.4 or higher temperature will be denied entry along with any immediate family members present.
Attendees should assess their risk in determining whether to attend any group activities. Those who show no symptoms can still spread COVID-19 if they are infected, any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to COVID-19, and Activate Your Artistry cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed while attending our event.
